Looking for a scam-free debt consolidation company?
I am trying to hunt down a well trusted debt collection consolidation company. The type where they run all 3 of your credit scores to see who you owe, & consolidate it into one lump sum for an afforable monthly payment. I have heard of many of them being scams, people " paying off their debt" and not actually paying it just paying the company money that supposedly consolidated it. Which in case sickens me that people can sleep at night knowing they screw over all of their customers. Anyways, if anyone knows of a real, scam free debt consildation service it would be much appreciated.
Can someone please tell me if debt consolidation companies can do this?
Ok...I'm looking for a true answer to whether or not a customer like myself has the ability of reducing my interest rate with my credit card companies myself or do the debt cons. companys have more leverage?I am current with all of them but am sitting with about 10k in debt with high interest rates. I'm considering a debt consolidation company who swears up down they can lower to approx 6 10% w out damaging my credit. Who can tell me the truth and are there better debt cons. companies than others?
What are "Debt Inversion" Legal Services and are they an alternative to bankruptcy or debt consolidation?
I've heard about this recently and am wondering if anyone knows anything about it. I have been considering bankruptcy or debt consolidation and am looking for alternatives. I have been harassed by debt collectors, and have numerous anomalies on my credit report. Debt inversion almost sounds like exactly what I need. Thanks for the help ahead of time.

The collection people wont leave me alone they call my job 3 times a day my cell phone ALL DAY LONG. Its getting crazy. The stress is taking a toll on me. Please recommend someone. Im a single mother of 2 , i work fulltime but in these times we know thats not enough to survive.

I'm fed up with credit card companies. I'm in debt over my head trying to keep up with my payments. These credit card companies are nothing more than legalized loan sharks. I might have been late by one or two days and now I'm being charged between 25% 29% on all of my accounts.I am barely making it, after I pay my bills every month I have nothing left. For about a month or two I've been thinking about chapter 7 or a debt consolidation program. I've been hanging in there trying to make my payments but what happened to me today has tipped the scales in favor of filing for chapter 7.I tried to make a payment today on my Best Buy account and I noticed I had been already charge a late fee. I was confused as to why I was charged a late fee when I was not late. Then I noticed my due date was changed to the 25th of every month instead of the 27th. When I called them up I found out my due date was changed to the 25th back in February and that I was unknowingly paying late charges ever since. I wanted to know why my due date was changed and if they could remove the late fees.I was given no explanation for my due date being changed and they refused to remove the late charges. They said they notified me of the changes and I should have known. I've been paying my bill on the 27th for 4years, and one month you decide to change it to the 25th how am i supposed to catch that. That was the last straw for these credit card companies for me. I want to file chapter 7 but I'm worried about getting another vehicle when my lease is up 2011. I was also thinking about debt consolidation but I've heard some bad things about these companies too. any advice would be greatly appreciated.I don't need anyone to lecture me about running up credit card debt I know I did that. Just give me some good advice thanks
